What type of medical professionals is California Medical Staffing looking for?
We are looking for Licensed Physical Therapists and Assistants, Licensed Occupational Therapists and Assistants, and Speech Language Pathologists. Whether you are a traveling therapist or looking for part-time or full-time local assignments, we need you.

How much experience do I need?
Whether you're a new graduate or a therapist with years of experience, California Medical Staffing has the career for you. With great mentor programs and challenging assignments, we will match our client setting's to your needs.

How long does an assignment usually last?
Local assignments vary from setting to setting. They can last from just a few weeks to a couple of years. A typical traveling assignment is 13 weeks.

How do I get paid?
California Medical Staffing is on a semi-monthly payroll schedule. We will pay you on the 15th and the last day of the month. You have the option to enroll in direct deposit for free.

How do I record my time at my assignments?
You fill out a California Medical Staffing timesheet on a weekly basis. You will need to record all time in facilities and if applicable travel time/mileage on each time sheet. It is also necessary for you to fill out a seperate time sheet for each different facility you are located at during a given time-period. Timesheets are then faxed to the corporate office by 8:00 a.m. every Monday.

How do housing arrangements work?
Our staff will help you find the safest and most comfortable housing for your needs. Whether you travel alone or with your pets, we will find the best options based on the location of your assignment. You will then receive a housing allowance once a month or a tax-savings per diem allowance on each of your paychecks.

How do I sign up with California Medical Staffing?
You can fill out an online application form or call our toll-free line at 800-701-4837 and ask to speak with a recruiter. We will get the process rolling.

How do I get an assignment?
As soon as you are an employee of California Medical Staffing, we will discuss your assignment options based on where and when you will begin your employment.

How soon do I start?
You will receive a job confirmation letter prior to each assignment. The letter will provide all of the critical details regarding the assignment. If you have any questions upon the receipt of the letter, please contact your staffing coordinator right away.

Are there any long-term commitments?
No. Assignments are accepted one at a time. You are not required to sign any long-term contract with California Medical Staffing or any of our client facilities.
